Reviews

We loved the house and the location. Walberswick is my favourite place in the world and this house was perfect for us.

Mrs Andrea W,

"I don't think anyone should stay here ever... so there will always be room for me and my friends!!! Eight of us stayed in Fern Cottage to celebrate a birthday weekend. It was delightful - as we walked through the door each one of us announced we could happily live there. The space works well for a larger group, with the lounge and dining area interconnected. On our second night, we enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and were delighted to have a good sized fridge for a change. Glassware/crockery etc was good quality and plentiful, there were lots of kitchen gadgets (including some more esoteric but essential in Walberswick, like an oyster knife!) and the store cupboard had many useful ingredients from seasoning, to stock pots and olive oil. Our gifts came in handy too! Upstairs, bedrooms and bathrooms were again attractive and really functional - lots of space, good storage, comfortable beds, strong showers with plentiful hot water, heated towel rails etc. Outside, the secure and dog friendly garden provided a lovely space to soak up the early spring sunshine. Parking for three cars off road in Walberswick is yet another bonus. We all left with heavy hearts, wishing we could stay longer in (or, preferably, own) this lovely house. Sheila"

Shelia K,

Thank you for this beautiful gem of a cottage located right in the heart of the chocolate box village of Walberswick. We were greeted into the cottage by a very generous hamper which was so appreciated. The cottage itself is just stunning - contemporary and modern in style, lovely bright colours, and has such a homely feel. Very well equipped kitchen and fabulous master bedroom. Thank you for the generous stack of logs for the wood burner. The Black Dog deli is amazing! Homemade cakes to die for, especially the millionaire shortbread and the bread and butter pudding. Literally less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and across the road from the Anchor pub. Thank you, we will definitely be back.

Danny and M,

We loved our stay in your lovely home and ideal for dog walks. We loved the decor of the house too, we wish it was ours. We will be back again soon.

Previous Customer,

Fern Cottage is set in the beautiful Suffolk village of Walberswick. Just a short stroll to a great beach and within staggering distance of 2 great, typically English pubs. The cottage is beautifully styled and decorated throughout, has great fireplaces for cosy winter evenings and a large garden for eating outside during the summer. It's just perfect and I can't wait to return.

Previous Customer,

Our family is in love with Walberswick and we have been coming here for many years - Fern Cottage is the perfect cottage set in the perfect village, furnished beautifully and to a very high standard, very clean with everything you need, the log burner in the kitchen/dining room is ideal for a cosy morning or evening. Gardens were nice and secure for our children and dog to play in. Walberswick is stunning, superb walks (lots of them) great pubs, great food and just a stones throw from the beautiful seaside town of Southwold. Thanks for everything.

Phil B,

Walberswick is a picture perfect Suffolk village and Fern Cottage is literally the perfect home from home. A stone's throw from (what is now) one of my most favourite beaches in the UK, a short amble up to the village shop for freshly baked morning croissants and deli delights, a dangerous couple of steps from the excellent local pub, super comfy beds, beautiful decoration throughout, roaring cosy fires for winter and large garden with outdoor dining for summer...need I say more? This is literally holiday home perfection. Get ye there soon, this won't stay available once everyone realises what a true gem this lovely home is! I can't wait to return.
