Description

Intro

Looking for an easy-living holiday stay within reach of all Southwold’s must-see locations? Call off the search – this ground floor apartment has the sunniest of dispositions and is ideal as either a romantic retreat or family break, while it’s pet-friendly approach means no-one has to miss out on the fun.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

A hallway from the front door leads to the living room and bedrooms, each of the latter boasting its own en suite facilities. Adjacent to the double-bedded room is a bathroom with shower over the bath, while a sliding door from the second bedroom leads into a shower room. This bedroom has a single bed with a pull-out bed beneath it – space would be tight with both in use, but the room could accommodate two children or a travel cot is available if that would be more age-appropriate.

Cooking and dining

Setting the scene for some memorable together-time, the open plan space here is filled with bursts of bright colour and has an emphasis on easy living – expect level access, floors that can be kept clean with minimal effort and a place for everything. Three sash windows flood the room with light but have stylish shutters for privacy when its wanted – before one of them you’ll find a rustic dining quite and, to the side, a range of beautiful blue kitchen cabinets plus an attention-stealing sailing-themed splashback. Facilities within the kitchen include an eye-level oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge and full-sized dishwasher, plus a washing machine with built-in dryer.

Outside

Just a few doors away from the seafront promenade, a small low-walled garden area is furnished with a bistro-style table, chairs and bench seat – it’s a lovely spot in which sit with a drink and take in the sea air. Equally close by is the Lighthouse, Sole Bay Inn and, beyond, the pretty open spaces of East Green – if you’re holidaying with children or a dog there are plenty of pleasurable walks on your doorstep.

Practicalities

Underfloor heating keeps this recently-renovated apartment cosy at all times, and there are heated towel rails in each of the en suites for an extra touch of comfort. TV, WIFi, bath towels and bed linen are all included in your holiday cost, one small dog is welcome and there’s plenty of free on-street parking directly outside.

Reviews

The property was very nicely decorated and comfortable. It was also in a very good location.

Mr Jeffrey W,

Great location and property standard, very smart. We love the Suffolk coast and countryside which are largely unspoilt. A slower pace of life with quality goods and service including food and drink add to our enjoyment.

Mr Elaine T,

Met the owners who were extremely pleasant and welcoming. Would highly recommend this property.

Miss Elaine B,

A very pleasant bright and airy apartment in a nice road near the beach
