Past meets present here at Hamish Place: this recent addition to a terrace of bay-fronted family homes fuses traditional features - think high ceilings and sash windows - with up-to-the-minute must-haves to create a light, bright and capacious holiday cottage that accommodates four in reassuring luxury. 

Bedrooms and bathrooms
Both on the first floor, a double- and a twin-bedded room - as in the rest of the house - draw colour inspiration from its position overlooking the Church green and the church beyond, their muted tones punctuated by flashes of bright green in the window dressings and soft furnishings. Dream-inducing wooden bedsteads and dual-aspect windows make these rooms in which you'll want to linger, whilst the spacious family bathroom, bathed in seaside blue and white, is equally welcoming and light-filled. A ground floor cloakroom means there's convenience at every level.

Cooking and dining
Leading companionably off from the elegant sitting room, the open-plan kitchen and dining area is fully equipped with electric cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There's space for four to sit comfortably at the wooden dining suite, which enjoys views of the garden from dual-aspect windows.

A fully enclosed garden wraps around the side and rear of the property, and features a lawn and patio area plus border plantings to provide seasonal interest. If you want to stretch your legs further, it's a short walk across St Edmunds Green to the 15th-century church and on to the town centre, and a similar stroll to the seafront.

If you tire of the view from your bay windows, a TV, DVD, iPod dock and Wi-Fi are all provided for your entertainment. Hamish Place is within walking distance of just about everything you'll want to do during your holiday, so the private parking space is a definite bonus too!
