Description

Intro
The name hints at its history – this nineteenth-century cottage incorporates a dairy that’s around a hundred years older! Within those ‘old world’ walls, however, you’ll find a holiday home which combines original features with contemporary must-haves while, outside, there’s a fabulous south-facing garden.

Bedrooms and bathrooms
Three bedrooms – a double, a twin and a single – occupy the first floor, along with a cool blue-and-white family bathroom. On the ground floor a chic shower room adds extra convenience and has underfloor heating for all-year-comfort.

Cooking and dining
Original brick flooring and a farmhouse dining suite complement the cheerful coastal colour scheme that’s been chosen for the kitchen units, while Corian work surfaces and a multitude of ‘mod cons’ make light work of the essentials of daily living. There’s a Neff oven, gas hob, fridge and dishwasher here, and in the utility room you’ll find a freezer, microwave and washing machine. Enjoy meals with a garden view at the large table in the open plan sitting and dining room.

Outside
Accessed through French doors from the open plan sitting and dining room, a south-facing garden is laid mostly to lawn and comes complete with outdoor furniture and that all-essential summer accessory: a barbecue.

Practicalities
There’s roadside parking nearby, and for those who prefer to travel or sightsee on two wheels, a back garden gate provides convenient access to a large shed that’s perfect for bicycle storage. Both the sitting room and ‘snug’ have TVs and DVD players; in the former you’ll have access to Smart TV technology, while in the latter there’s a BT Sports package provided. WiFi and towels are complimentary, and we can supply a travel cot and highchair for those travelling with young children (who will need to be aware of the various steps throughout both ground and first floors). A security deposit of £150 will be due four weeks prior to your holiday.

Reviews

Fabulous property - have stayed in it for 3 years running and have already booked for next year!

Mrs Michelle F,

We love this property and have booked it again for next year.

Ms Helen D,

The Old Dairy was a beautifully appointed cottage, perfect layout for our family of 5 with three kids under 7, with a brilliant location right near the beach and South Green - we will be back!
