Description

Intro
On a quest for an indulgent location for a gathering of family or friends? Then search no more… this fabulously large holiday home redefines laid-back luxury, on all levels. A unique setting coupled with exquisite interiors and oodles of outdoor space make it the perfect place for creating memories you’ll cherish.

Bedrooms and bathrooms
Flooded with light and full of out-of-hours opulence, the four bedrooms here offer plenty of flexibility for every group of guests. A double bedroom on the ground floor has a luxurious en suite complete with a large shower cubicle, LED lighting and two shower heads – one of them an over-sized dome which is sure to refresh even the most reluctant of morning risers. This room also boasts bi-folding doors which grant access to the outdoor areas and blissful sea breeze. Upstairs, three further versatile bedrooms make for a great night’s sleep. A spacious double room has storage aplenty, a luxury en suite shower room and sweeping marshland views, while the twin beds in another can be linked to form a king-size bed if that’s what you’d prefer – just let us know in advance and we’ll have it ready for your arrival. Younger members of your holiday party will happily retire to the bunk-bedded room (but be warned: it has plenty of play space for the reluctant sleepers) and you’ll all appreciate the Sonos speakers and quality fabrics which feature in each bedroom. A spacious family bathroom on the first floor features a luxury whirlpool bath and hand-held shower plus a mirror with sensor lighting – no expense has been spared in any of the en suites and bathrooms here: Villeroy and Boch washbasins and WCs transform each into an oasis of well-being.

Cooking and dining
Force yourself away from the comfy sofas and bay window view of the sitting room – the large kitchen and dining area is where all the real action will take place! A multitude of windows, doors and a Velux window mean this is a room full of natural light, while coastal-cool grey, white and wood cabinets and counters create a kitchen to inspire every budding chef – Bosch and Neff are among the brand-leading names you’ll find among the appliances here, which include a double oven, five-ring induction hob, American-style double fridge, three-drawer freezer, microwave, dishwasher and wine fridge. Fine food and great conversation can be enjoyed at the oval dining table which, complete with colourful chairs, sits before bi-folding doors opening onto the outdoor space, while a sofa and wall-mounted TV at the other end of this open plan room mean the fun keeps flowing long after your meal is finished.

Outside
Perched high on the southern edge of Skilmans Hill – something of a local ‘secret’ and very much a sought-after location! – Castle Hill captivates with its far-reaching views across Southwold’s Common, marshes, coastline and harbour. Park (there’s space for two cars!) and prepare to be impressed: a private terraced garden featuring tiled, paved and decked areas mixes ultra-modern metal and glass balustrades with rampart-like rustic red-brick walls, while a range of chic and comfortable outdoor furniture confirms this as a space in which to dine, recline and relax.

Practicalities
Everything you could possibly need for a hassle-free self-catering holiday is here – there’s a washing machine and drying cabinet for laundry in the kitchen, underfloor and central heating, WiFi and towels. A travel cot, highchair and retractable stair gates at the top and bottom of the staircase mean tots and toddlers are taken good care of too, and up to two well-behaved pets are welcome in the ground floor areas so the whole family can enjoy a Southwold stay! Please note that a £400 security deposit will be required four weeks prior to your holiday.
