Far-reaching views and fabulous interiors make this grand family house a great choice for large group gatherings… there’s plenty of space to spread out, some private places for peaceful moments and it’s pet-friendly too!
Bedrooms and bathrooms
There’s convenience at every turn, thanks to a cloakroom complete with WC and basin on the ground floor, plus a lovely large family bathroom on the first floor. A master suite here boasts a super-king bed, chaise longue, large windows and French doors leading onto a private balcony with sea views, plus an en suite shower room. A double-bedded room and another – three steps up from the landing – with twin beds complete the night-time choices on this level, while on the second floor there’s a further super-king bedroom plus two more, each with a single bed, some sea views and one of them also with a balcony. There’s a shower room on this top floor and – complementing the entire property’s attention-to-detail styling – tasteful furnishings and a contemporary colour palette create a sense of calm throughout.
Cooking and dining
Classic, Shaker-style cabinets and a scene-stealing range cooker make the kitchen the centre of attention here, while a breakfast table sits before doors leading out to a private courtyard garden. Full of light, the kitchen comes complete with every easy-living essential, including two fridge/freezers, a microwave and dishwasher. An outdoor dining suite allows for al fresco refreshments, and for more formal mealtimes you can move into the separate dining room where there’s a table for up to ten people.
A bench in the small front garden is the perfect place from which to breathe in the fresh air and watch the world go by, while the pretty courtyard garden offers more privacy, peace and quiet.
Digital central heating ensures you’ll be warm even in the depths of winter, while a gas-fuelled, flame-effect stove adds further cosiness to the spaciously grand sitting room. WiFi, a TV and DVD player mean there are plenty of entertainment options for you to enjoy, while a Day Room on the ground floor offers a separate space in which to work or unwind. WiFi, a washing machine and tumble dryer are in the utility room for guests’ use. On-street parking is just outside, bed linen and towels are provided for your stay, and one well-behaved dog is welcome to join in the holiday fun too.

Southwold House makes you feel very special. We had an amazing weekend here celebrating my 60th birthday. The weekend exceeded my expectations, this was due to the friends and family who celebrated with me but also the house played its part. I would go back in a shot.
We had an amazing time staying here - it was our second year that we have stayed and it was even better than the last time. Amazing weather (although a little windy towards the end of the week) and the sea was lovely. Look forward to coming next year.
Thank you for the use of this wonderful house. We are sad it is already booked for next year but hope to return in 2021.
Fabulous house. We all loved it and would like to move in!! Thanks. We shall hopefully come again.
Wonderful home to celebrate husband's 60th birthday! Great fun had by all at Southwold House. "Best Holiday Ever"
It’s stunning. A house that’s set up to be sociable and comfortable
This house is perfect for a holiday home - rain or shine. It felt like a home from home; very sociable and well equipped. We've had a fantastic two weeks and are sad to be leaving Southwold House.
Always loved Southwold and this week did not disappoint. Blessed with glorious weather and very comfortable accommodation. Had fantastic stay.
Celebrated two birthdays here @ Southwold House. Had all the people we love and cherish visiting, staying, eating and drinking. The ages ranged from 4 years old to 78 years old and we all without fail loved the house, the atmosphere and balmy days and nights. Will forever be remembered as a happy time and never forgotten. Thank you for loaning this beautiful house!
The Sunniest Easter Ever! Two Watson families and one Fuller one. Had a fabulous time. The house is perfect - very 'Farrow & Ball' and loads of space for all. Lots of wild swimming and beach hut fun. Thank you.
We have just returned home after a lovely week in Southwold House with our large family including two children. It certainly lived up to the description on the website! It's a beautiful property with a well equipped kitchen, very comfortable bedrooms with excellent bedding and towels and in an enviable position close to the seafront, beach and town centre.
This is just feedback from our recent stay in Southwold House . It was excellent, house is superb . Well equipped and very tastefully decorated, homely and comfy . Everyone thought it was lovely . Can't think of anything negative to say, just great.
My family and I enjoy our annual visit to Southwold, this year's was made even more memorable by our stay in Southwold house. Everything about the house is really great. The decor is beautiful, enhanced by the attention to detail, lots of pictures etc. The large kitchen, very well equipped. Very comfortable lounge plenty of seating. The master bedroom is delightful, so spacious, and well appointed. Every room is furnished to a high standard. Bedding is very good, lovely, good sized soft towels. We all loved the house, definitely the best we have stayed in over the last 20 odd years and hope to return next year.
We thoroughly enjoyed our family stay at Southwold House. The property was just great for our needs in terms of size quality and cleanliness.
