With Christmas and New Year celebrations finished for another year, why not beat the January blues and book your holiday cottage in Southwold for February half term week?

If you were stuck at home over the festive period slaving away in the kitchen now’s the time to look forward to a relaxing holiday by the seaside.

Choosing to stay in Southwold during the quieter season can be all the more enjoyable with less crowded shops and more places to park your car. The weather has been unusually mild recently so who’s to say you can’t get building those sandcastles?!

We have a great choice of Southwold properties for you to choose from such as home-from home cosy cottages, stylish apartments, modern townhouses and grand Edwardian houses suiting all types of party groups. Choose your ideal destination in Southwold such as a traditional house along Pier Avenue for a seaside adventure, a High Street apartment ideal for its proximity to the shops or a cosy cottage in the village of Reydon, perfect for exploring Southwold as well as the surrounding area.

If you’re bringing the kids on holiday too we recommend a trip to Southwold Pier for a fun day by the seaside enjoying the House of Games area or quirky Under The Pier show. For the adults a visit to Southwold wouldn’t be the same without booking the Adnams Brewery Tour where you can learn all about the beer-producing process and, of course, sample some of the most popular beers. Some of our guests book the tours again and again!

There are some fantastic restaurants and pubs to choose from should you wish to dine out in Southwold. For a family-friendly environment with a hearty-menu we recommend The Red Lion where visitors and locals often gather for live music afternoons (subject to dates). For couples looking for something a little more intimate a visit to Coasters restaurant is a must with fine-dining choices using locally sourced ingredients. The Sail Loft along Ferry Road is also sure to be popular with all age groups with its quirky menu options and beachside destination.

Looking to bring your four-legged friend on holiday with you? We have a great selection of holiday cottages which are pet-friendly and perfect for your furry friend. There is no shortage of places to walk your dog with popular areas being The Denes and The Common. Some of the local pubs also welcome pets such as the iconic The Lord Nelson along East Street.

When holidaying in Southwold you are also within easy reach of some of Suffolk’s finest attractions such as Africa Alive, Pleasurewood Hills, Framlingham Castle, RSPB Minsmere and Jimmy’s Farm – all sure to be huge hits with the kids!
