Friends of Southwold Library present Slaughter in Southwold as part of the Southwold Library Crime Writers Festival.

The Southwold Library Crime Writers Festival will take place at Reydon Village Hall on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd June 2014.

This fantastic event features talks by:-

  • Mark Mower – author of Suffolk Murders
  • Nicola Upson – author of The Death of Lucy Kite
  • Andrew Martin – author of The Baghdad Railway Club
  • Sophie Hannah – author of The Carrier
  • Alison Bruce – author of The Backs
  • Linda Davies – author of Ark Storm
  • Elly Griffths – author of The Outcast Dead
  • Cynthia Harrod-Eagles – author of Hard Eagles and winner of the Young Writers’ Award in 1972

On Saturday night there will also be a thrilling Quiz Night at 7pm. Get together a team of 4 and bring your own snacks and drinks. (£3 each).

Rosie’s Home Cooking will be serving a delicious lunch each day to purchase. Choose  from Poached Salmon Salad with buttered new potatoes, Homemade Quiche Lorraine with salad and new potatoes, Goat's Cheese on Focaccia with salad or Charcuterie (mixed meats) with salad, coleslaw and pickles.


  • Tickets are £4 per talk,  £12 per day or £24 for the weekend. Please note that lunches are not included within daily nor weekend ticket price.
